Torginol of America, Inc.
In the early 1950's, a group innovative U.S. investors led by L. N. Pearson heard about a seamless resilient flooring product being produced in Germany. These visionaries went to Germany to see for themselves, and favorably evaluated the seamless flooring concept that was developed by a German organic chemist. Impressed by the product, they returned to the United States with a license to produce and distribute the product, and immediately established Torginol of America, Inc.. Torginol of America chemists tested and refined the basic idea created in Germany and developed what became known as Torginol Duresque Flooring, the Aristocrat of Seamless Flooring, producing a glamorous surface and the name Torginol became synonymous with this type of flooring. Beginning with only a few dealers and one location, Torginol of America, Inc. eventually became a nationwide company with numerous distribution centers strategically and hundreds of dealers located throughout the United States.

Peterson Chemical Corp.
By the mid-1960s, Torginol of America, Inc. began to experience financial trouble and ended up divesting both its trademark, formulations and assets over the next few years. In 1969, the epoxy chemist Donald Peterson, owner of Peterson Chemical Corp., a Sheboygan, Wisconsin based chemical coating manufacturer, purchased the rights to the "Torginol" trademark, as well as some of the assets and formulations needed to produce decorative colored chips/flakes. |

Torginol, Inc.
Then, in 1972, the Bell Family purchased Peterson Chemical Corp. and operated the company as a family business for the next 30 years. By 1992, the brand awareness of Peterson Chemical Corp. dwindled and the Bell Family officially changed the company name to Torginol, Inc.. During this period, Torginol served two core markets, including: 1) the manufacturing, training and specifying of seamless flooring systems for various commercial, industrial and residential applications; and 2) the manufacturing of epoxy resin paints for military equipment and other specialty OEM applications. |

Today
In 2001, Torginol, Inc. was purchased by Tom Testwuide, Jr., a local Sheboygan, Wisconsin entrepreneur, who currently serves as president and managing director. By 2003, after over 30 years of manufacturing and selling seamless flooring systems, Torginol changed strategies and decided to withdraw from manufacturing the coating components and solely focus on our core strength of producing the ColorFlakes component of the seamless flooring system. Under our new strategy, ColorFlakes are marketed to various floor coating system manufacturers, value-added wholesalers, distributors and contractors to be incorporated into their resinous flooring systems. Beyond ColorFlakes, Torginol continues to serve the OEM Epoxy Paint market, as well as the Wood Floor Finishing market. Today, Torginol's mission is become a leading manufacturer of specialty coating products for the specific markets that we serve.
